Abstract:

Current systems for high resolution curved screen displays are expensive and target high-end applications. These types of displays could be very useful in other applications areas besides high-end, for example entertainment and collaborative applications. We present a technique to create a low-cost multi-projector curved screen display using a parametric approach called the quadric transfer. This parametric approach has several advantages that are exploited to allow for flexible system configuration and the use of low-cost off-the-shelf components, yet achieve accurate alignment.
